Cookie policy
Effective date: 5 May 2026
This page explains what cookies and similar storage are used on davidbaidooanu.com and how you can control them. It complements the privacy policy.
Categories used by this site
The cookie banner offers three categories. By default, only the necessary category is active — analytics and marketing remain denied through Google Consent Mode v2 until you grant consent.
Necessary
Always on. These keep the site working. They cover the session, CSRF protection on forms, and remembering your cookie choice itself so the banner does not reappear on every visit.
Analytics
Off by default. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 sets pseudonymous cookies to help me understand which pages and essays readers find useful. IP anonymisation is enabled. Data is processed by Google and may be transferred to the United States.
Marketing
Off by default. This category exists in the banner for future-proofing only. This site does not currently load marketing or advertising tags, regardless of your choice.

| _ga_<ID> | Analytics | Persists session state for GA4 property. | 2 years |
Changing or withdrawing consent
You can change your choice at any time. Use the button below, or clear site data in your browser to be re-prompted on the next visit.
Browser controls
All major browsers let you block cookies, delete them, or browse in private mode. If you block necessary cookies the site may not function correctly — for example forms may fail CSRF validation.
