Welcome — and thank you for visiting.
I'm an Assistant Professor of Assessment and Evaluation at the Mitch and Leslie Frazer Faculty of Education, Ontario Tech University. My research sits at the intersection of educational assessment, equity, and generative artificial intelligence in education, with a particular focus on justice-oriented and socio-culturally responsive practice across Canadian and Sub-Saharan African contexts.
This site is a quiet, working space. You'll find my peer-reviewed publications, the courses I teach, the talks I've given, and — over time — short essays and research notes like this one. I'll write here when I have something useful to say about an emerging study, a debate I'm thinking through, or a tool that practitioners might find helpful. The goal isn't volume; it's clarity.
If you're a school board leader, a ministry official, a fellow researcher, a graduate student, or simply curious about how assessment can do better by every learner — especially in the age of GenAI — I'm glad you're here. Please feel free to get in touch about collaboration, supervision, invited talks, or consulting work. More writing will follow.
